PocketPutty: Development snapshot 2006-05-04:r6640(12)
Build: Thu May 4 10:32:30 2006

Download version without debugging.
Download version with debugging enabled.

In this version should be fixed a bug with stored keys in registry reported by several users, I've also shortened a messages in key dialogs so they fit well in modified/localized WM5 dialogs.

Version with debugging enabled will log a lot of stuff to \putty_debug.log file so we can finally start tracking down some connection/input methods related issues.

Let me explain "2006-05-04:r6640(12)" versioning scheme. 2006-05-04 is snapshot date, r6640 is SVN revision of actually used putty's codebase and (12) is SVN revision of PocketPuTTy's codebase.

Would it be possible for you to build a PPC2002 binary as well? I'd like to take advantage of some of the recently contributed features (if they've hit SVN yet; Alternate Port, Font Size, etc).

Thanks

Building for the PPC2002 just needs someone to do it.
Building for the Smartphone is made difficult because non-hard-keyboard, non-Soft-Keyboard entry systems need to be supported, and how exactly does T9 work in a terminal client?

I'm running this build on a Cingular 8125 connected over Bluetooth to my computer, and SSH-ing into my friend's Linux server on port 3022. Check it out:

There's one bug I'd like to mention. No, those are not "t"'s at the end of the third line, those are keypresses of the ← key. Looks like vterm needs some work...

Best of luck,

Well the Q has a querty keyboard. It would work really well with a terminal program. An ssh client on my Q would be wonderful!

Thanks!

Has anyone tried using the version posted here on a smartphone? My Cingular Blackjack (Samsung i607) has a full keyboard... should suffice eh?

Hey all - I'm just using this snapshot now... nfi if here is the best spot to post but on the O2 XDA Atom, latest firmware, putty doesn't seem to recognise when you have the shift key down (ie you can't type caps in). Bit of a painful bug since nearly all my passwords have caps in em!!
